'Tis the Season for Violence? A Young Foreigner KOs an Old Man in Itaewon

Seriously, I don't intentionally surf the web looking for sensationalism.  But after the video of a young girl getting pummeled by an old lady, an even more shocking footage has now surfaced on Youtube and being spread around 'Netizens' of Korea.  In this wild and sad video, a young Caucasian male is seen engaged in a heated argument in what looks like 'Beodunamu gil' in Itaewon.  From the upload date of the video it seems to have happened not long ago.

In the captured incident, after a very sad and pathetic display of  his punching power knocks the old man down, the young man is seen shouting something like "I fought in Iraq for six years to put up with your bull sh** ... I killed more men than you ever met."

It is a disturbing footage and I hope we can all learn to just 'get along.'

[Update]
According to the local police station, this incident happened on 1 Oct 2011.  The young man was not a GI as a lot of people assumed from his comments.  No charge was brought up as neither side wanted to take further legal action.

Is this video going around the Korean internet?

What an ass. If you become an asshole when you drink, particularly a loud or violent asshole, you should drink at home, and not share your loud, violent asshole-ness with the rest of the world.

Very common for GIs in S.Korea

Like everyone's saying above, this is really sad and terrible. Unfortunately, it's an all-too-common occurrence, especially among GIs here in South Korea. I heard once from a military lawyer leaving the service that the GIs in this country are the worst of the worst -- they purposely send young, solo service members (ie. the most vulnerable) and they get into terrible trouble. He would know -- he was defending them. When newcomers arrive for training, they undergo orientation in which they're told all the horror stories (for example, of GIs raping elderly Koreans). Of course, there are soldiers here who are legitimately doing their jobs, but an awful lot of them get into the worst kind of mischief.
